Bedroom Interior Design

The bedroom interior design is something that you can experiment with, play around with the lighting scheme, using everything you can think of. The bedroom is at least in my opinion, the most important room in every home, because it's the place where you unwind and dream and above all, the place for private activities. It's estimated that we spend a third of our lives sleeping, so considering all the time we spend in our bedrooms, it's no wonder people devote so much attention to bedroom interior design. Having in mind all that's said until now, the bedroom must truly reflect your lifestyle, practical needs and aesthetic preferences. That's why the bedroom is a great challenge for interior designers, because in order to design the ideal bedroom for a given client, the designer must become aware of the client's innermost thoughts and ideas, cultural background and temperament. All these factors must be combined in one uniform place. The bedroom interior design involves the selection of a floorplan, lighting, walls color, ceiling, choosing a bed. Regarding the floorplan, a lot of people prefer to put a carpet, but my advice to you is to put a single carpet from end to end, as the room will look larger, instead of having several smaller ones. Another option, and a cheap one too is laminate flooring. It has its set of advantages - it's easier to clean than carpets and yet it's aesthetically appealing. Your next consideration must be the lighting. Since we are considering bedroom interior design, I suggest that you put some softer lighting, or at least adjustable. The ideal bedroom has primary and secondary lighting. Having the right light will ensure that you wind down and get a good sleep at night. But you also need strong lighting so you can get dressed in the morning or read a book to fall asleep. Interior designers suggest that the most important light in any bedroom is the one beside your bed. You have several choices here - to mount lights on the wall or fix them behind, or have simple table lamps beside the bed. About the furniture, it's almost obligatory to have mirrors added to your bedroom, as they provide a great way to add depth and enhance the decoration. I have seen clients that have mirrors mounted on the ceiling, which is also a nice idea. Also, putting a decorative tablescape will work well in your bedroom. Pictures or fancy posters are another simple way to decorate bedrooms. The selection of the picture might even create the whole theme for the bedroom. |
